PPR and Yoox announced this week that the Stella McCartney online store will be launched globally by the end of 2012 and, alongside the other brands in their joint venture which is dedicated to managing the monobrand online stores of several PPR luxury brands including Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen and Sergio Rossi.
The online store will go live in China by the end of 2013.
Founded by Bocconi graduate and Columbia University MBA Federico Marchetti in 2000, Yoox certainly has become a force to be reckoned with as it expands its empire worldwide as the global Internet retailing partner for leading fashion & design brands.
It has already established itself amongst the market leaders with multi-brand online stores yoox.com, thecorner.com and shoescribe.com, as well as with numerous mono-brand online stores, from armani.com to zegna.com, all “Powered by YOOX Group” and the PPR in a joint venture
has only added to this.
