LANVIN has a treat in store with it's new Autumn Winter 2012 Ad Campaign. All its models are 'real people' or in the words of the Maison "Not Reality Stars. Reality!" Aged from 18 to 82 the 'real people' were beautifully photographed by Steven Meisel in traditional 'model' poses
Lanvin's Chief Designer Alber Elbaz said:
"Fashion doesn't look good only on models, it can look good on different people of different ages and different body shapes".
"It's about bringing a sense of reality to fashion that the lofty world of high fashion is not as unattainable as it seems"

Probably one of the most fascinating models is 82 year old, former Appollo dancer, Jacquie "Tajah" Murdoch who was discovered by a casting agent on ADVANCED STYLE - a popular blog in the US (and now with the Green Pebbles Girls!) run by Ari Seth Cohen who "roams the streets of New York looking for the most stylish and creative older folk" convinced of the fact "personal style advances with age"
The Green Pebbles Girls agree wholeheartedly!
